Accompanied by music from the one-hit wonder band Steam,
go ahead, kiss him goodbye.

We will never forget.
Enjoy this historical and celebratory week.
comic relief countdown
Not many more days of Bush fodder left, I figure we may as well take advantage and make the most of it, so I’ll post what I can cause we’ve still gotta laugh - and celebrate the end of the Dubya/Dick catastrophe. Thanks to Dave for all the Great Moments… Thanks to you for visiting, come back again soon, and do have a warm and wonderful day.
I don’t know about you, and not to dis Dave, but #2 is SO #1…
riddle me this…
Seems it’d be a lowdown, dirty shame to allow this celebratory, historical, last-chance week pass without commemorating some of the more mortifying moments of the past 8 years. Let’s do so for the sake of posterity and lessons learned (we will never forget YOU, Mr. Bush), in the spirit of comic relief and, God bless America - change. These moments are our history and no matter how hard fought by the current Presidency, his legacy. Cheers to change, peace to you, and Godspeed to our military.

prop 8 parody
“Prop 8 - The Musical” starring Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Neil Patrick Harris, Maya Rudolph, Alison Janney and many more, lends a humorous perspective to the shocking and ridiculous passing of Proposition 8, banning gay marriage in blue California. A much deserved send-up.

there IS something funny about Palin…
…in addition to Fey :)
We’ve gotta laugh, and we’ve gotta pray.

happy thanksgiving
One thing I’ve learned this week: suprisingly, there aren’t a whole lotta great thank-you songs out there. I can only take so much Dido and an entire song, well… not so much. But I’m thankful for the ones I found :). Here’s a song I’ve been saving for this day, hope it makes you smile. Enjoy, have a beautiful Turkey Day and thank you for visiting.
Bummer, I had the original performance from SNL but Universal pulled it. Soooo here’s another, still entertaining (and live) version of Adam Sandler’s homage to Thanksgiving and a link to someplace else so you can work that appetite while/by browsing.
Copper Clappers
Some classic comedy from the Carson collection on the 82nd celebration of his birth… Happy Birthday to the unforgettable and irreplaceable King of late night comedy. For more from the Carson cache, consider clicking forthwith.
“If life was fair, Elvis would be alive and all the impersonators would be dead” Johnny Carson
There’s so much historic humor but I’ve opted to post more of a moment in history. Johnny’s last television appearance. It’s quite brief, but quite special and oh so Johnny, and the crowd went wild. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, heeeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!
Serious Humor #2
There are funnier ones out there (he winked at the Queen, for heaven’s sake!), but I gotta admit, the butt slap is right up there. For this category we could have a Top 100!
Serious Humor #1
Okay, I’ll admit that I’m pretty riled these days by just about everything having to do with this administration (have been for 7+ years); however I’m also the first to acknowledge that maintaining one’s sense of humor in times like these is a necessary part of maintaining one’s physical and mental health. That said, let’s go ‘right’, to the horse’s… mouth, for some serious comic relief. Enjoy (and be warned, milk drinking while viewing could lead to some serious nose-spewing).
