M.L.K
In recognition of Martin Luther King’s birthday, The Entrance Band pays tribute and reminds is of what our beloved civil rights leader hoped and dreamed of. From their self-titled album here’s “M.L.K.” I do wish I could’ve found a better video, but you may click here to download a (much) higher quality (and free) MP3.
Please keep sending thoughts, prayers and money to Haiti, whose people continue to suffer beyond words 6 days after their already impoverished world shook, and fell apart.
Givin’ Up
Posting for the first time in a looong time, motivated by the heartwrenching events and subsequent conditions in Haiti. I, as many, have donated dollars - and that does help. But I wish so that there was something more I could do to physically help. To go there and help uncover the people that potentially still breathe, if weakly, under the rubble. To help the injured. To do something.
Alas, at this time it is not feasible for me. So I will post this soothing yet sad song with the hope that giving up will be the absolute hardest thing to do for every suffering Haitian, in spite of the ease with whcih one could make that choice in the face of all they’re faced with.
Music by One eskimO off their self-titled CD, my favorite 2009.
Peace.
obama song
Oh happy day. It’s been a very long and winding 8 year road, but finally it has led us to Barack Obama’s door and this great day.
Here’s the always outspoken and outrageously hot Michael Franti with Spearhead. Dance, celebrate and enjoy this very special moment in American history.
God bless our new President, God bless you, and God bless our planet. Peace.
