here i am

Here’s something for a midweek pondering of life if you’re up for it. By the band called ciam, a song called ‘Here I Am’.

Thier self-description:
CIAM ain’t no ordinary band. It’s pronounced SEE AM and is also the acronym belonging belonging to the Congress Internationaux d’Architecture Moderne, a body set up between 1928 and 1956 to redesign, restructure and rebuild the modern Europe.
You bet. Talk about remake, remodel- CIAM don’t see boundaries between music, math, art, film, science, design, creationism, Darwinism; if it sounds good, looks good, feels good- then forget about the politics, it’s in.

I especially appreciate artists who can and choose to make a social, political or otherwise significant statement with their art, in whatever form it may take. And I really like it when they say stuff… well, that I agree with. Say what they will about “forgetting politics”, here’s ‘The Call’ by Ciam, with no boundaries. Have a peaceful day.
